A Baby in our Arms
I long to hold you in my arms
And feel your warm embrace
To hug you and kiss you
And gaze into your friendly, smiling face
I long to count your fingers
And count your little toes
To change a dirty diaper
And wipe your runny nose.
I want to be called Mommy
And watch you growing up
I want to hear your first small words
And to see you drink from a cup.
I want to rock you to sleep
And tell you of my past
To hear you tell me you love me
And that you're mine at last.
I want to stop dreaming
And wish you really were mine
That we were now a family
And that the Lord would send us a sign.
We know you in our hearts and dreams
Our arms will hold you dear
You'll call us Mommy and Daddy
For someday you'll be here

I was in the Wed nite prayer on Oct 8th and felt inspired to write this for those who are suffering:
A Word from God for those who are suffering
Do not run from me in trials
but cling to me and my words.
For when you moan
I moan
For when you suffer
I suffer with you.
Know that you do not walk alone
I am there for you
For when you cry out in sorrow
Know I hear your tears
I hear your prayers
and I answer you
You are my child
and I love you.
Wherever you go
Know that I go also.

Dear God do you hear me?
Dear God,
Do you hear my whispered prayers
when I cry out in the night?
Do you feel the burning sting
of the tears that blur my sight?
Where are you when the devil
breaks my smile?
Do you glance away
for just a little while?
How do I learn to wipe away
the impressions of tears; the pain?
They seem to root as deep as my soul
The tears and hurt are now a stain.
I am blinded by darkness
All seems so bleak
I gaze upward for help
As I feel so weak.
I have prayed for years but
My prayers go unanswered, As if no one cared
What if no one can hear me?
Sometimes I feel alone and scared.
I long for an answer to come
For the journey to end
We desire a child to love
We wish in our prayers that we send.
It has been many years
A long road we have traveled
Others have left successful while
We feel torn and raveled.
Dear God,
Do you hear my whispered prayers
when I cry out in the night?
Do you feel the burning sting
of the tears that blur my sight?
Please, answer our prayers.
Where are you? We need you
We desire the taste of victory
Please make our wishes and dreams come true.
You can mend our dreams
And fix the tattered seams
Alone in the darkness we stand alone and meek
Seeking your touch in a world is what we seek.
God if you can hear me
We could use a blessing or even a sign
We feel we are banging our heads
Our hearts hurt and we are running out of time.
We long to hold a child in our arms
As in our slumber's dreams roam
Before the time comes that You
Lead us all to come home.
Dear God,
Do you hear my whispered prayers
when I cry out in the night?
Do you feel the burning sting
of the tears that blur my sight?
Please grant us a child to love
We ask again and hope that you would hear
We have waited too long for a child,
Someday that dream will be finally here.
