OUR BIO:
Who we are story-found below:

Sandra Wellens & John Pearson were married on June 26, 1999
They met online as John answered Sandra's classified ad. Online love can happen :)

We met for the first time in December 1998. By the time Christmas came, we knew we were ready to get married.
We live in a small city called Oconto Falls, WI. We live in a big house that has 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a library, a big dining room/living room, a computer room, a home office, a big basement, and a big fenced-in yard outside.
We both work out of the home. Sandra sells AVON and works as John's Office Manager. John is a full-time Wisconsin tax assessor. Since we both work for ourselves, we can plan our own schedules. This allows us to always see the important things in life and never say "we are too busy" for family functions.
We hope that the following pages will help you better get to know us.
What do we do? We do a lot of traveling. We both work out of the house so we are almost always here. We play games and watch tv, we go to the movies, we go swimming, we read books, and we like to smile and laugh.

John's Story:
My name is John Pearson and I am 47 years old. I grew up in Phillips, WI. I have 3 older brothers named Buz (Elton), Phillip, and Timothy. Buz lives in Ogema, WI, Phillp lives in Illinois, and Timothy lives in Florida. (You can see a picture of all of my brothers and their families on the 'John's family pictures' page.)

I have 2 sets of parents as my Mom and Dad got divorced before I was born. Ma and Pa live in Phillips, WI and my bio-Dad died in 2008.

I enjoy flying kites, spending time with Sandra, playing video games, playing darts, going to rummage sales, and I love to take pictures. I enjoy traveling. I am a Christian and enjoy reading the Bible and going to church. I am handy around the house and like to build things in my spare time.

I became a Christian ordained minister since 1996, but currently I only do a couple of weddings a year and other things as needed. Otherwise, I am a certified assessor for the State of Wisconsin and have many towns I work with all over the state. I am able to work out of the home and as an assessor I get to travel all over Wisconsin. Even though I work lots of hours, I am home to spend time with Sandra and the kids, and we do fun things together everyday.

Being a parent is a very important role in my life. I love Alexander and Rachel and would love to have more children if possible. Alexander was a gift right from the hospital in 2004, and we went to China to bring Rachel home in March 2006. Currently Alexander is 5 and Rachel is 8. I spend lots of time playing with the kids each day. Being a family is a great thing.

Sandra's Story:
HI! My name is Sandra and I am 37 years old. I am married to a wonderful guy named John. I have one younger brother named Will and an older sister named Charlotta. We have 3 children...Alexander is 6, Dolly (my poodle) is 7, and Rachel is 9. Dolly was my first "child" and travels with us, so she thinks she's a kid too.

We have been homeschooling Rachel and Alexander. We're learning mostly preschool -kindergarten basic things right now, but we love singing our ABC's and coloring pictures. The kids have lots of toys and even cleanup is a fun time with them.

Other than spending many hours a day with my family and pets, I love to sing and do crafts. I am taking piano lessons right now and someday hope to play halfway proficient.  I like to go on walks in the woods and collect rocks, flowers, and pinecones. I love to spend time with John. I enjoy going shopping, especially at Goodwills and rummage sales. I collect many things but I love Smurfs, brass birds and angel items best.

I have gone  to college and may actually take a few more classes in the future. I have my Bachelor's degree in Management and I am now working on my Mastor's degree which I should finish in 2009. I am able to be a substitute teacher in the public schools but so far I am a stay at home "mom". We also run 2 home-based businesses out of our homes. One of them is Avon and  I sell lots of AVON each year. By selling Avon, I am able to stay home with the kids and work from home. Being at home with the kids is a wonderful reward.

I love being a Christian, as my faith is very important to me. Without God I would have nothing...my life would be hopeless. We go to church most Sundays and the church we go to is really nice. I love to sing and a few Sundays a year you can hear me singing a solo in church. (No I am not afraid -I love to stand in front of people and talk and sing.)

A few weeks out of the year we like to travel. I used to live in Chicago in the 90's and still have lots of friends there that love to spend time with us. We love to do things that are fun -and love to laugh and smile.

I love children and love being around children. One of the greatest things I've ever heard was to be called "Mama" as we've suffered through childloss while trying to conceive our own children.

Adoption is the only way I can become a mother. I have been blessed with 2 wonderful children and I would love to adopt another infant. Alexander and Rachel both said they would love a baby brother or sister (or both!). Rachel is a great little helper and volunteered to even change diapers.

If you have any questions about me --just ask. I love making new friends :)

THE KIDS:
Alex and Rachel
Alex is a happy child who loves to sing and play the piano. He loves video games and playing outside. Rachel loves hands-on activites and helping out. They play together everyday and enjoy Sunday School. Rachel is homeschooled and is learning the basic 1st-2nd grade materials. Alex loves legos and is learning to write the alphabet. They would say their favorite food is pizza and their favorite store is Wal-Mart. Pictured above are Alex and Rachel at Wal-Mart checking out the new toys on display.
